Youth Group is open to all young people from School Year 7 upwards (ie Secondary school). It meets during term times - one Sunday evening a month between 6pm and 7:30pm in the Church Hall Committee Room. There are additional meetings as needed.
Youth Group aims to:
Give young people the chance to socialise with their peers away from the pressures of school.
Encourage its members to actively participate in Church services performing songs, plays or prayers.
Increase awareness of charities supported by St John’s and actively involve them in raising funds for these worthy causes through such things as sales, carol singing and the annual Summer Barbecue.
The meetings are very informal and include a tuck shop which is managed on a rota basis by nominated members.
