Our activities for children are very much focused by age. They include:

Link to Little Fishes informationLittle Fishes for babies, toddlers and children under 5, meeting twice a month on Tuesdays during the school term.

Link to Youth Group informationYouth Group - a chance for secondary school children (year 7+) to get together on Sunday evenings during term time - for socialising and charity works.

Link to Creche informationSunday morning Creche (for under 4s) - We always welcome young children to our services, but the experience of the parents amongst us is that entertaining our baby or toddler during the whole of a service is somewhat stressful ...

Link to Junior Church informationWe hold a Junior Church each Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month). Children (4+) sing, listen to stories and complete craft activities with a Christian theme.

Children are a very important part of St JohnsThere are special activities throughout the year such as a Good Friday morning workshop and the annual Nativity Play.

Visiting children are always welcome to join the regular groups.

All Age Eucharist
(1st Sunday of the month)

This 9.30am service is aimed at all ages with a simplified, easy to follow, Eucharist format.  The teaching (or sermon) is pitched at a level intended to sustain the interest of all ages - from young children to adults.

As always all children (and non-confirmed adults) are welcome to receive a blessing at the altar during communion.

The service lasts for approximately 1 hour and is followed by the usual 'Coffee Time' in the Church hall.

A Creche is available if you prefer to attend the first part of the service toddler free.

The St John's Brownie Pack is the 19th Harpenden - it meets Thursdays at 6:15pm during term time.
